LORRAINELorraine is a 3 year old female Doberman who was found stray in Lorain County then taken to the shelter with hopes her owners would recover her. At the time she arrived we had an opening with one of our most experienced Doberman foster providers and reached out to the shelter to take her in. After the legal hold period she was released to us to start her journey.
Lorraine was not spayed but since having her in our care she has received medical care, vaccines, a microchip and was spayed on June 25th. Now that she is fully recovered she is ready to be matched up with a family. Lorraine gets along well with other dogs, both males and females. Lorraine is a 2-yr old black and tan female Doberman Pincher. Lorraine a very pleasant dog to have around, very obedient and is totally house broken. she loves to run around and play with my other female Dobermans but seems to have a small dislike of my male Doberman. Lorraine knows how to sit, down and has a good recall when you call her, she also on an occasion will smile. Lorraine walks very nicely on a slip lead and with some training wound probably walk nice on any type of collar. (With training).
Lorraine rides excellent in the car, seems to like to go places, she does really well when we take her to dog friendly stores like Rural King and Lowes. She is typical Doberman; she is always craving attention. We have had no issues of her being destructive or messing in the house. She has this kind of cute squeaky bark. She is a dog that with a lot of training would be able to do so many things. She goes in her crate or as we call it house, we give her meals in there and being we have other dogs she goes in when we leave the home.
The only real issue that we have come across with Larraine is her ability to escape the crate, she figures out how to get out of them, she has slid the trays out she has even on many occasions literally unlatched them. We have found that if you need to grate her the use of an airline crate is much more secure and safer for her.
Lorraine is a good girl and would just love to have a playmate of her equal to romp and play with, she is a very smart girl and needs companionship and guidance to a great girl. She's a very healthy and happy dog.
