AVAILABLE TO ADOPT!
HOSSBig Daddy Hoss is exactly that....he's been a dad two times (that we know of) before we took his Lady-friend in alongside their eldest Coco (still available and looking for a home) and Lady and Hoss' 8 Doberbull puppies which have all been placed.
|
Hoss has been well cared for and his owner made the right decision for him when she reached out to us as winter is approaching so we could find him a loving home. He and the family had been living with the shelter of a trailer in a rural area of Ohio when we agreed and quickly went into action to find a place for Lady, Coco and 8 puppies. Now that all the puppies have been placed space was available for Hoss to settle into foster care while we screen incoming applications to place him.
Hoss was neutered on 11/5/25. Our veterinarian team discovered prior to surgery Hoss has a heart murmur with a grade of 3-4/6. This grade is considered to be of intermediate to loud intensity, meaning it's a moderately loud (grade 3) to very loud (grade 4) sound caused by turbulent blood flow. Annual veterinary check-ups will be necessary to monitor the condition and to get advice on lifestyle management including managing Hoss' weight, activity and food.

Foster Home Report:
Hoss has been such a good boy, very friendly, no mess in his kennel potties outside, he had fleas when he arrived but he has since been given flea preventatives and flea baths with no sight of fleas as of October 10, 2025. Hoss is very laid back and calm. He would be a great companion for a lower activity type home but do well if he is placed in a home where he gets exercise and loads of attention.
I don't think I have ever had a dog that is so close to the ground, lol. He is just so pleasant and happy, he loves his kennel and has never messed in it. He walks very nicely on leash, he is going to be a great dog for a calmer home, probably not a runner or hiker, but will make a great companion dog. I think he would make a great dog for an older person or couple, some one to give him the attention I don't think he ever got living out side in a camper. We love having him!
