COCOCoco is a young Doberman/Bully mix we took in from an owner in central Ohio. Coco arrived alongside her mom who had just given birth to 8 puppies all of who are safe and sound with Secondhand Mutts.
Coco is just under a year old (10 months as of July) and currently living in a foster home with 5 other dogs and the remaining puppies from her mom Lady's last litter. She is crate trained and house trained making a transition into a new home seamless. Since being in our care she has been around kids and will do well with any family looking to add a lovely family member to their home. Coco is not good with cats so if you have a cat this gal is not for you. Coco has been through some transition but overall she is adjusting well. She would benefit from having someone who will continue to work with her on her commands (she is still young and learning!). She is very smart. She is food motivated and responsive to learning as the Doberman breed loves to work and please their owners. She will need some work with leash walking. She has been great with our veterinary team. Coco tested positive for Lyme's Disease and is currently being treated with medicine. Her expenses related to Lyme/s will be covered by Secondhand Mutts. during her first year after she is adopted. Since Coco arrived at the farm she has adjusted well to meeting new animal friends with exception to the barn cats. She gets along well with my older Doberman (male), Doberman (female) and bully mix (female). She is loving the farm including the horses, working in the barn and evening strolls around the pond. Based on her focus and interest in cats I would not recommend a home with cats. She is crate trained, does not have accidents in the house but I admit she does enjoy sleeping on my bed and relaxing on the couch.
