ADOPTED: February 24, 2025
HAZELHazel was found stray in the City of Parma and impounded by the caring staff at the city shelter. After unsuccessful attempts to locate her owner she was broadcast to local rescue groups and we stepped up to take her in.
Hazel arrived in mid-November, had an appointment with Heartland Mobile Veterinary Service and moved into a foster provider home. We are still getting to know her. We will update her profile with additional information in the coming days. To submit an adoption application click the button below. A new window on your browser will open to the 'Adopt Me' page. Foster Home Report:
Hazel is a very sweet girl that gets along with everyone. She is housebroken and has had no accidents. Loves to play with other dogs (4 other Dobermans) at her foster home and is medium energy but also doesn't mind busying herself with Nylabones or Kong toys. She rides well in the car and does well in the crate. Knows a few basic commands but always room for improvement in training. Hazel did well with older children at her foster home during the holidays and just wanted attention as she likes to be with you. She has not been cat tested. Hazel will make a great companion dog.
Hazel has a typical fawn coat, she has (alopecia) which is quite common with fawns and blue Dobermans, but fortunately with a much better diet and some simple supplements Hazel is regaining a lot of her coat. She is up to date on her all her vaccinations and according to her vet her blood work came back pristine. Hazel is a very happy healthy pup. She is estimated to be about 3-4 yrs old, looks a bit older due to the alopecia but as her coat fills out a more that should change.
